A dancing swan. Get it?
The Sawn Repertory Theatre is planning its first ever Swan Ball, a black-tie affair next Thursday, November 20, at Fedora Social House. The event will raise monies for the organization, and help promote its mission of classical theatre in Springfield (as well as the December 18-21 run of A Christmas Carol at the Gillioz Theatre—click here to see the cast list).
For $75, you'll be treated to an open bar, a buffet, and a chance to bid on silent auction items (including locally made Venetian masks) from 7 to 9 p.m. The party continues until 10 p.m. Entertainment will include vocal numbers from Leah Jenkins and Harry Beckett, as well as Venetian carnival acts, courtesy of the Swan Rep players.
