A. Why, this is easy. First off, make gourmet scrambled eggs. Take about five eggs, a couple tablespoons of milk, cracked black pepper, a pinch of salt and a very little bit of cheese (parmesan, sharp cheddar). Whisk everything together. Cook in a nonstick pan slicked with a tiny pat of butter over low heat. Stir with a rubber spatula constantly. It will take several minutes, but the eggs will slowly start to thicken. The goal is creamy, dense eggs, not dried-out curds as per usual.
Serve with a bagel, English muffin or toast and perhaps one of those apple-chicken sausages from Emeril you can get at Sam’s. Good coffee is essential; spike it with a touch of Grand Marnier, Disaronno amaretto or similar.
