Tread the Earth lightly with Green Toes Shoes.

You say you’re concerned about the environment. Now it’s time to walk the walk—literally. Green Toes shoes are made from all natural products, including cork, latex, organic cotton, bamboo and recycled cardboard and rubber, among other eco-friendly substances. The shoes are available in a variety of styles and earth-tone colors (plus pink), and there’s even a limited kids’ line (called Green Piggies). You won’t find anything formal, but we can live with that.

Green Toes shoes can be found online at simpleshoes.com, or locally at Dynamic Earth Equipment (3036 S. Fremont Ave., 417-877-8855). The Green Toes website (simpleshoes.com) also features bags, hats, T-shirts and tons of other accessories. Prices range between $50 and $100, so it’s nice to see all this Earth-savin’ doesn’t cost you any more than a regular pair of shoes.
