DJs and Drummers at Piano Bar

Ernie Biggs' hump day celebration is a bit of a departure from the usual.

Hypes and Gripes

Hypes to Missouri State University for its Maroon Madness program, whereby students can win free stuff like food packages and school logo wear by attending school-sanctioned athletic events. It’s just $10 to join, and with indoor winter sports approaching, it might be a great chance to rack up some free swag.

Gripes to Macy’s for, after about four weeks, still not sending one Whitaker Publishing staffer a swatch of fabric she wants to see before buying a couch. She wants to spend money (in this economy!) and can’t even get a swatch of fabric? How about using the Magic of Macy’s for a little customer service, eh Martha Stewart?

Hypes to The Eagles for playing a three-plus hour show to open JQH Arena. They’ve reached the status (and the age) where they could do their thing for an hour and a half, sans encore, and no one would complain. Joe Walsh probably, no, definitely needed oxygen backstage after that one. Extra Hypes to beer at JQH!
